vietec are hiring for the following positions

Lead Engineer/ Engineer with a minimum of 5 years’ experience with one years experience as a lead engineer.

Full time, Permanent.

Role responsibilities:

  • Installing, servicing and decommissioning educational and business audio-visual systems.
  • Installing and testing copper and fibre solutions
  • Installing and commissioning wireless network solutions
  • Testing and terminating cables using a FLUKE tester
  • Server Rack installation. decant, relocation and decommissioning
  • Identifying and resolving cable errors/issues
  • Installing and commissioning IP security and surveillance network solutions (i.E. CCTV systems)
  • Daily written processes such as site audit or survey documents, time-sheets, expenses
  • Managing Assistant Engineers
  • Full time hours, some weekend and working away required

Skills Required:

Due to the nature of this role, a C&G Level 2 related qualification with a minimum the SSSTS ECS/CSCS – inc 1-day health and safety is required.

CNCI is also preferred. Manual Handling, Asbestos Awareness and working at heights would also be advantageous.
A good level of education ans English as the first language are sort. Must have good time keeping and excellent work ethic.

Salary dependant on experience.

Assistant Data Engineer.

Full time hours, some weekend and working away required. The role entails flexible working hours that often requires an early start daily and can sometimes include both evening and weekend work.

Role responsibilities:

  • Daily written processes such as site audit or survey documents, time-sheets, expenses etc to be completed on time.

The ideal candidate would have:

  • Experience working as part of a team and individually, with a minimum of 2 years in the industry
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Health and Safety Qualifications/Awareness
  • Cabling Qualifications
  • CSCS/ECS Card
  • IPAF/PASMA Certification
  • Full UK Driving licence an advantage
  • Asbestos Awareness/Working at heights/Manual Handling Certification.

A good level of education and English as the first language are sort. Must have good time keeping and excellent work ethic.
