THINKING caps were well and truly on at a quiz night run by a Redditch-based ICT solutions business, vietec ltd in aid of Primrose Hospice.
Over 100 people put their general knowledge to the test when quiz masters from Lloyds bank took to the microphone at The Holiday Inn Bromsgrove, which raised over £2,500 for the hospice.
The night hosted 8 Quiz rounds, a true or false round with winners taking the title of 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Wooden spoons were awarded for the team coming last and the night hosted a raffle which added to the funds raised on the evening, Including prizes, Amazon echo, Meal for 2, Venture Photo studio experience, Stratford Racecourse tickets, Cheltenham Racecourse tickets and more.
Staff at vietec Limited, based in Clive Road, have set themselves the challenge of raising £10,000 for Primrose Hospice after choosing it as its charity of the year.
Phil Drew, vietec director, said: “It was great to see a full turnout of 21 teams at vietec’s first quiz night and to raise a such a large sum for Primrose was fantastic.
“Praise should go to all at vietec but I must single out Danielle, vietec’s marketing coordinator, for organising the event so successfully, we are very pleased with the feedback received from the event from those who attended”
The event was sponsored by Axis Communications, The Hub, Mayflex, Reed Sales, Agility, Lloyds bank, Babble, and Allsee.
Amy Flemming, the corporate fundraiser at Primrose Hospice, said: “We had so much fun at Vietec’s quiz night – everyone seemed to be enjoying the evening and well done to the winning team ‘Lease’ Us Alone.
“We must also say a great big thank you to vietec for holding the event and choosing Primrose Hospice as its charity of the year.
“We are incredibly grateful to the company and its staff.
“The money vietec raises will go towards the £1.75million Primrose Hospice must fund-raise annually to continue providing free care and support to people with life-limiting conditions and their families living in our community.
“We look forward to the other events that vietec has planned for 2019 in aid of Primrose Hospice.”
