Charity Tree Recycling for The Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust

On Friday 8th January, vietec Director, Phil Drew and Engineer, Kevin Rice volunteered time to collect Christmas trees for the Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust.

The team at the Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust works to raise awareness, fund research into rare cancers of childhood and produce educational materials, and provides support to families.

Local businesses around Worcestershire have been collecting Christmas trees in exchange for donations to the Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust.

The rest of the vietec team want to thank Phil and Kevin for taking the time to volunteer and spend the day in the cold collecting trees in the Bromsgrove area.

Emma from The Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust said “On behalf of myself and the team at GKCCT we would like to say a huge thank you to you for your support and help with our first ever Christmas Treecycling campaign. As it is the first year we have held the event, it has been wonderful to see such a positive response. We are delighted to say that almost £4,000 was raised from the event. These funds will be used to help us continue to provide support to the families that need it, especially at this difficult time for the country as a whole.”
